Set up your Mexicano
Players enter alone. After each round, enter both pair scores to group players by their running individual points for the next draw.
Each rally goes to one pair. For 32 rallies, 19–13 is valid; both players on the first pair earn 19 leaderboard points.
Add names (optional)
Paste a list below, or type a player in each row. Missing names get numbered labels.

How a padel Mexicano works
Players enter individually and play short doubles matches. The first round is drawn from the entered player list. After all its match scores are entered, the tool ranks players by credited pair rallies and uses that order to form the next round, favouring fresh partners. Choose padel Americano if you need the complete draw before play starts.
Worked example: 8 players, 2 courts
Use the default 5 rounds, 32 combined rallies and 20-minute match slots. With seed 1, one possible first-round Court 1 pairing at 09:00 is:
Morgan + Riley vs Chris + Sam
If that match ends 19–13, both players in the first pair receive 19 individual points; both in the second receive 13. The other court must also have a valid score before round 2 can be generated.
The player list and results stay in this browser. The tool validates each score total, updates the individual leaderboard and prints the rounds generated so far. Later pairings cannot be known or printed until the earlier scores are complete.
Rally scoring and corrections
Choose a whole-number target from 8 to 64 combined rallies. Each rally awards one point to one pair; both final pair scores must add to that target. A 32-rally match can finish 19–13 or 16–16. Individual totals accumulate each player’s pair score across matches; score difference helps order the displayed leaderboard when totals tie. If you correct an earlier round, later rounds are cleared because those pairings used the old standings.
Plan time for score-led rounds
| Players | Courts | Rounds | Matches | Byes | Court waves | Play time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 2 | 5 | 10 | 0 | 5 | 1 hr 40 min |
| 12 | 2 | 5 | 10 | 20 | 5 | 1 hr 40 min |
| 16 | 2 | 5 | 10 | 40 | 5 | 1 hr 40 min |
These are projected match and court-wave totals if all five rounds are completed. The generator creates only the first round initially; each later round needs valid scores from the previous one. Play time excludes breaks, score entry and overruns, so allow extra time between rounds. When there are more players than court places, or the count is not divisible by four, players rest in rotation.

Frequently asked questions
How is Mexicano different from Americano?
Americano plans the full rotating-partner draw before play. Mexicano uses the scores already entered to group similarly placed players for the next round, so future pairings appear one round at a time.
How are individual points counted?
Each player receives the rally points scored by their pair. In a 19–13 match, both players on the first pair receive 19 and both on the other pair receive 13.
Do both scores have to add up to the rally target?
Yes. If you select 32 combined rallies, a completed match must total exactly 32, such as 19–13 or 16–16. The tool checks this before enabling the next round.
What happens when someone has to rest?
Each court takes four players per round. Players who do not fit (because the count is not divisible by four, or there are more players than court places) rest that round. The generator favours players with fewer previous rests so rests are shared across the group.
Can I correct a score?
Yes. Reopen that round and edit its score. Later rounds are cleared because their pairings depended on the earlier result.
