    How to run it

Each match is played to 32 rallies in total, for example 19–13 or 16–16. Every point counts, whoever serves. Each player receives the points their pair scored. After the last round, the player with the most points wins. Read how to run a padel Americano for the full rules, serving order and tie-breaks.

    Frequently asked questions

How many rounds do 17 players need?

The generator suggests one round fewer than the number of players, with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7. For 17 players, that is 7 rounds. You can choose a different number of rounds in the generator on this page.

How long does a 17-player Americano take?

With 20-minute matches and no breaks, the 7 rounds take 2 hr 20 min. If you start at 09:00, play ends at about 11:20. Add time for warm-up, breaks and score entry.

What if one player does not come?

Use the 16-player schedule instead. With 16 players, all courts are full and nobody rests.

    Can we use fewer courts?

Yes. Enter fewer courts in the generator on this page. With fewer courts, more players rest in each round, so you may want more rounds.

    How many points per match?

This schedule uses 32 combined rallies per match, so the two pair scores add up to 32. Use 24 rallies for shorter matches, or 16 if each match has only about 10 minutes.
